Diane Ravitch is an experienced teacher and educator who explains in a very straight forward fashion why Charter Schools; frequent testing and judging the teacher by results are not the ways to improve teaching in state schools. They have been tried and have an extremely low rate of success. Sadly the UK government is avid to copy anything that is American, even systems which clearly don’t work.
